C Beginner Sewing Class, Sat. May 31, 2025

1-4 pm with Gopi Flick

No experience is necessary and all materials and sewing machine will be provided for students.

Learn to use a sewing machine in just three hours.Students will start with the basics of how to work a sewing machine, practice sewing straight lines, stay-stitching and chain-piecing using 1/4 inch seam allowances.

Each student will leave the class with a small project they made.

Please wear closed-toe shoes

Long hair needs to be tied back

Students must be at least 12 years old to attend. Minors12-16 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone (ideally taking the class as well).

Each Beginning sewing class covers the same material so no need to register for multiple sessions

Class fees are nonrefundable but can be transferred to another person or to a new date. Contact NFsewinfcenter@gmail.com if you need to make a change.

North Florida Sewing Center 826 NW 23 Ave, Gainesville, FL 32609 We share space with Wesley United Methodist Church. Park on the west side of the Church. Our Center is on the east side, near the playground. Go across the courtyard and follow the sidewalk to the right.
